Art Deco Stand with 70’s Orange jars

Today was ‘Portuguese Tart’ Day. I teach Art Therapy to some lovely elderly ladies and we served these up on an Art Deco Stand.
They didnt last long! For some reason I think they taste even better served up on a 3 tier stand – much like drinking tea from a tea cup is better tasting than a mug.

Blue Willow

The ‘Blue Willow’ design (top plate in above photo & middle plate in photo below) is based upon a legend of two lovers who are transformed into lovebirds…
The Willow pattern is a classic landscape design whose classic components include a weeping willow, pagodas, three men on a bridge and a pair of lovebirds forever kissing, all in blue on a white background.
